A delightful game!
I am always up to challenge, especially if it includes escaping the room and solving puzzles. This was a flawless design, with fantastic atmosphere and satisfying gameplay. I wish there was more to it, but as for the game jam, this does deserve the highest recognition. Great Job developers!

This is a puzzle game with an interesting aesthetic, something straight out of the 30s. The puzzle is well crafted, and the game has good potential. It would be great if they made something in the same style, only bigger, or developed this one into a full-fledged indie game. Congratulations for your work.

Thank you!

This was a fun escape game. I like how the puzzles could be solved by watching the film. Great work!

Thanks a lot for playing our game, we love you've made a video on it :) Seeing the gameplay through someone else's eyes is a great experience, so thank you!

Thank you, really enjoyed the commentary :D

This was a great little escape room. I loved how each puzzle fed into the next one. Nice touch!

Wow, thank you very much for playing the game and making a video on it, we love to see those :) You also seem to figure out the game fairly quickly, good job!

And thank you for making and sharing it!

We love to see other people playing our games as it helps immensely in figuring out what worked and what didn't so I like to do the same. :)

This might be the first escape room I completed. First I was just fascinated with the video, are they original or actual old clips?
-*Just saw the public domain note above*- :P
Then I wasn't sure which parts were relevant and couldn't seem to interact with anything.
Finally made progress and ran through the rest very quickly. Though I was a little disappointed the sun and nun had no part, I felt clever for thinking there might be a connection...

Nice concept and entertaining little distraction experience.

Thank  you :), glad you enjoyed it

Huge points for creativity! Interesting puzzles, great design, and an interesting gimmick.

Wow, you guys did amazing. It was very different from what I expected starting the game lol. I thought I was going to get jump scared in the dark haha, then the creepy footage and sounds didn't help my anxiety. You guys all did an amazing job, and the use of the public domain footage cropped for your use was awesome. I never even considered that for a game.

Yeah, at the start of the jam we were really interested in some kind of scary game, but we eventually just shifted to this :) Thanks for playing!

Very nice escape room, remembering clues without the film is very satisfying and the obvious book clue phone call made me laugh out loud.

When the credits rolled I wanted more! Love when that happens.

Edit: Not to mention the found footage is all golden.

Greatly appreciated!

took a while to load but it was all worth it, great job!

I love this game's atmosphere. The film grain is such a great addition that helps make everything seem that much more unsettling. I wish it was a little longer, but I really enjoyed finishing it and figuring out the puzzles. Very well done, and even more impressive that it was done in the limited time of the jam. Great work, Point Vertex!

(+1)

Thank you, that means a lot

(+3)

impressed for that amount of time ! Seems professional

(+3)

Such a well done game! It is not like a game jam entry and more like a full game :D Although it is not restricted to two colours (you use grayscale).

Well done, congratulations!

(+2)

Thanks for your positive feedback :) Indeed, we don't use 2 colors (luckily it's a thing in the ratings), but I don't think we would've pulled of this type of game without using grayscale.

PS: we thought we were using alpha channels, but that's not the same apparently :P

Totally worth using wider palette,  consider making it into a full release. :)

Thank you!

ayo what??? This game is FIRE

(no way this is a jma game, I could believe that this is either a demo or a full game!!)

Glad you enjoyed it! We're really happy with how it came out
